Wyre works to help developers bring crypto to the masses through their wide variety of world-class payment APIs & widgets.
Our debut integration with Polygon enabled developers to easily integrate Wyre’s Checkout and Card Processing API into their decentralized applications, allowing end users to convert their fiat to the protocol’s USDC token, in less than thirty seconds.
Wyre’s latest integration with Polygon has expanded via the addition of off-ramping capabilities. Polygon’s developer ecosystem can now easily provide the functionality enabling end users to transfer funds from mUSDC back into fiat and withdraw it to a connected bank account.
These services will reach Polygon users around the world, including 43 US states, furthering Wyre’s commitment to make it easy for protocols such as Polygon, to scale faster than ever before.
Polygon is the first well-structured, easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. Its core component is Polygon SDK, a modular, flexible framework that supports building and connecting Secured Chains like Plasma, Optimistic Rollups, zkRollups, Validium, etc, and Standalone Chains like Polygon POS, designed for flexibility and independence. Polygon’s scaling solutions have seen widespread adoption with 450+ Dapps, ~350M txns, and ~13.5M+ unique users.
Additionally, Polygon manages the Matic network, which allows for transfers that are much cheaper and faster than transfers on the Ethereum main-chain. With this most recent integration with Wyre, traders on the Matic network can now on & off-ramp from fiat to the protocol’s token, mUSDC.
“We’re looking forward to working more closely with Polygon’s developer ecosystem, who really understand just how important it is to bring easy off-ramping solutions to Polygon.
Over the coming months, we are going to be working closely with the team to provide developer-led content in the form of resources — to make it as easy as possible for builders within their ecosystem to take advantage of this functionality and provide value to end users.” said Ioannis Giannaros, Wyre’s CEO.
Wyre offers a powerful JSON REST API that supports a range of financial, cryptocurrency, and identity services. It can move money around, broker exchanges, validate KYC/AML information, and transfer to/from traditional banking systems all while remaining compliant. We offer four sets of distinct API functionality:
- Accounts: Manage balances and KYC data of individuals
- Transfers: Move and exchange funds
- Wallets: Track ledger balances within the main account
- Payment Methods: Link external accounts for access to funds – banks, cards, etc.
- Rates: Get up-to-date exchange rates
To foster a better development experience for our partners, we offer a test environment in addition to production. Any transfers made in the test environment will never hit the actual blockchain network or incur any fees.
