WWE Inks Deal With Fanatics Candy Digital To Launch NFTs

The World Wrestling Entertainment or WWE for short has agreed a deal with global digital sports platform Fanatics to design and launch its NFT collection.

  • The WWE reportedly has running deals with other companies for trading cards so, this time agreement wouldn’t take effect immediately.
  • However, once this deal is activated in a “few years” from now, Fanatics and Candy Digital will become WWE’s sole partner for licensed physical and NFT trading cards.
  • “We believe this multi-platform partnership will set a new standard for WWE e-commerce, apparel and merchandise, while providing our fans globally with more ways than ever to engage with WWE and our Superstars.” – Vince McMahon, WWE Chairman & CEO said.

  • Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin also gave insights on what to expect: “From e-commerce and licensed merchandise to trading cards and more, we’re going to offer up an incredible set of capabilities to help WWE’s passionate fans worldwide celebrate their favorite Superstars, marquee events and the WWE brand overall.”
  • This adds to the growing list of partnerships between NFT platforms and sports entities and individuals.
  • Famous NFL superstar Tom Brady became the latest big name to launch NFTs of his own.
