Yuga Labs, the creator of Bored Ape Yacht Club, acquires CryptoPunks and Meebits from Larva Labs

After days of rumors and speculations, Yuga Labs, the creators of the popular NFT collection Bored Ape Yacht Club, has finally announced on Twitter that they have acquired CryptoPunks and Meebits from Larva Labs.

The news took Twitter by storm, and unsurprisingly the value of these crypt punks and Meebits has skyrocketed. Yoga Labs now owns the rights to 423 CryptoPunks and 1,711 Meebits, and all three popular Crypto projects are now owned by a single owner.

Yuga Labs, the founder of the popular NFT collection, has officially announced on Twitter that they have acquired 423 CryptoPunks and 1,711 Meebits from Larva Labs.


As soon as the news hit Twitter, the floor value of the Bored Ape Yacht club has also increased by 13% at the price of 75 ETH. The floor value is the lowest price of an NFT within a certain NFT collection.

 The terms and amount of the deal were not disclosed by any party. Yuga Labs also announced that they will not transfer the full copyrights, however, commercial rights will be provided to the holders.

Larva Labs still holds the ownership of a couple of CryptoPunks and Meebits called  Autoglyphs, which were not part of the deal.
