Susan G. Komen, a pioneer breast cancer aid organization, has partnered with crypto charity platform Giving Block to support digital currencies including Bitcoin, Shiba Inu, and Dogecoin. Other tokens that the group will accept include metaverse coin Gala (GALA), Orchid (OXT), and Civic (CVC).

The breast cancer charity foundation was christened after Susan Goodman Komen, a fashion model who died at 36 years following a three-year battle against cancer. Since its inception, the Susan G. Komen cancer foundation has financed different cancer research activities across the globe worth more than $1 billion. Cryptocurrency has become more popular with charity and aid foundations in recent months, even as the global adoption rate spike.
