UFC seals $175M fight kit deal with Crypto.com

Mainstream cryptocurrency trading platform Crypto.com has struck a fight-kit deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

As per a report by CNBC, UFC will crest Crypto.com designs on fight kits that will be worn by athletes, walk-out costumes, training staff apparel, and workers’ uniforms.

Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek tagged the partnership with the Ultimate Fighting Championship a “historic moment” 

Marszalek added: “This is just the beginning of a long relationship with UFC, and we’re looking forward to what we will build together.”

The agreement between the American mixed martial arts organization and Crypto.com is worth $175 million and will be in place for 10 years.

Whispers explain that fighters will not earn a direct cut from the deal, but they will be allowed to broker individual promotional contracts with the cryptocurrency marketplace.

The UFC was able to broker the pact with Crypto.com without involving the athletes because there is no union in place to negotiate on their behalf.
