Trump says Bitcoin is a scam, wants absolute dollar dominance

Four days after US President Joe Biden and his administration set up a plan to hunt down crypto tax evaders, his predecessor, Donald Trump, has ripped into Bitcoin in an interview with Fox Business.

Trump said the digital currency (Bitcoin) “seems like scam,” and he wants dollar to keep its place as the currency of the world.

“Bitcoin, it just seems like a scam […] I don’t like it because it is another currency competing against the dollar. Essentially, it is a currency competing against the dollar. I want the dollar to be the currency of the world, that’s what I’ve always said.” Trump told Fox Business.

Back in July 2019 when Trump was still President of the US he publicly declared his dislike for Cryptocurrency. Stating that he wasn’t a fan of Bitcoin due to its uncertain nature.

His recent comments toll in that same line although for a different reason.
