A study has shown that Dogecoin is more popular than Ethereum in the USA as reported by Coin telegraph.
The survey which was carried out by a joint effort from Harris Poll and CouponCabin showed that Americans are more familiar with Doge.
Ethereum is the second-largest digital asset in the world only behind Bitcoin.
The token has helped in introducing smart contracts, decentralized finance, yield farming and non-fungible tokens (NFT) to investors.
Doge on the other hand is only but a meme coin with no special use case or innovation.
Its popularity and relevance are closely tied to Elon Musk’s Tweets and support.
The survey covered a survey space of 2,063 people.
89% of the people who participated admit that they’ve heard about cryptocurrency.
Around 1,465 people said they know Bitcoin, representing 71% of the entire tally.
29% say they know about Dogecoin, while only 21% say they’ve heard about Ethereum.
31% say they believe cryptocurrency is the future legal tender.
