Paws Chicago, a No-Kill animal sheltering home will now accept donations In cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, ethereum, and dogecoin etc.
In a Tuesday announcement, the organization said it is targeting a “tech-savvy demographic of potential donors”. The inclusion of dogecoin in the list of accepted virtual currencies is hugely significant in the organization’s endeavour to lure donors.

Paws Chicago added a dog with laser eyes in its call to action for donations. The iconic Japanese Shiba Inu inspired the Dogecoin project which has grown from being a meme-coin to one of the biggest tokens in the market.
The joke coin like some call it is currently selling for $0.29.
Chicago is the third most populous American city and the animal sheltering home says it has been able to reduce pet euthanasia in the state by 91% since it began operation in 1997.
