Nvidia opens its Metaverse Software to Creators

Artificial Intelligence computing firm Nvidia will grant individual creators and artists free access to its metaverse real-time 3D design collaboration and virtual world simulation program, Omniverse.

The American tech giant revealed this at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas Yesterday. During the announcement, Nvidia also introduced new features and integrations for the platform called “metaverse for engineers.”

Last year, the firm launched a trial version of the Omniverse and later rolled out the paid version in November. So far, over 100,000 creators have used the platform. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang also emphasized his plan for “many types of metaverses.”

This entails video game models and augmented reality-based versions encompassing non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
