NFTs on Instagram? Here’s what Mark Zuckerberg said

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has revealed that his company is soon going to introduce NFTs, allowing users to show their NFT on their social media platform.

Instagram has been planning about this for a long time as last year in May, they hosted “Creator Week” specially designed to build a better platform for new creators and encourage them to grow their audience.

NFTs going to launch on Instagram:

In a conversation at SXSW, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has revealed that Instagram is soon going to launch NFTs, and users will be allowed to show their NFTs on the social media platform. “We are planning on bringing NFTs to Instagram in the near term,” said Mr. Zuckerberg while participating in a discussion about Metaverse.

While he didn’t reveal much, he said that there is still a lot of work to do before putting these plans into action. He also hinted about minting NFTs saying “Over the next several months, the ability to bring some of your NFTs in, hopefully over time be able to mint things within that environment”.

Last year, Instagram head and former executive of Facebook stated that they were “actively exploring NFTs,” but there were no official announcements afterward.
