Reports say the auction for the iconic message will be conducted by Aguttes Auction. Founded in 1974, Aguttes is the first independent auction house in France. The NFT auction will be held online and bids will be accepted in Ethereum. The proceeds from the sale will be donated to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to help displaced people.

Vodafone was the first-ever telecommunication company to support SMS, making the auction more special.
