Kraken hopes to launch its NFT Platform ‘in the very near future’

Kraken is meddling with the idea of building an NFT platform, and it appears we won’t have to wait for too long before the US-based cryptocurrency exchange launches an assault into space.

“NFTs are a fast-moving space and we are excited to begin offering services in this field in the very near future,” a spokesperson for Kraken told crypto news website The Block.

The thought aligns perfectly with what Kraken CEO Jesse Powell told Bloomberg Technology in a YouTube session earlier this week.

“[We’re] working on an NFT platform right now to give investors exposure to the burgeoning NFT market.”

NFTs have gotten a lot of publicity this year, the buzz has gotten even bigger with the rise of the metaverse.

A handful of crypto exchanges have already enteredthe space by launching an NFT platform or investing in the metaverse.
