Cryptocurrency ATM machines may become a popular sight across the world in the coming months as installation figures continue to rise rapidly.
Updated stats from Coin ATM Radar shows that 10,037 crypto-friendly ATMs have been installed this year alone as compared to the 7,620 added in 2020. If this momentum is sustained, we might double last year’s record considering that we still have five months left in 2021.
Since January this year, the numbers have soared by over 58% from 13,993 to 24,058. That’s about 63.4 ATM installations per day.
The US is a major player in all of these with functional Crypto ATMs in 21, 172. Genesis coin Inc is the foremost supplier in the industry. The US-based company controls 9,853 crypto ATMs followed by General Bytes who have 5,959.
Canada (1,707), United Kingdom (174), Austria (158), and Hong Kong (129) all join the USA as the top five ranked countries in this regard.
