Huobi suspends some of its services in China

Major crypto exchange company, Huobi, has temporarily discontinued some of the services it offers in China according to reports from Coindesk and Bloomberg.

The company are looking to adjust their mode of operation after fresh threats by the government to clamp down on digital currency miners.

Crypto exchange Huobi said it’s scaled back or suspended some of its services and products in certain countries and has stopped its miner hosting services in mainland China in response to the recent crackdown on crypto in that country.

As a result, the crypto exchange firm has “temporarily” suspended futures contract and leveraged investment products services to users from “a few specified countries and regions.”

Hubio didn’t mention exactly which countries or regions will not be allowed to access the aforementioned cryptocurrency services but all fingers are pointing to China.

Customers from the Asian country won’t be able to buy crypto mining machines from Huobi either.
