El Salvador has made its most special Bitcoin purchase yet since it began its cryptocurrency journey a few months ago.
On Tuesday, the country bought 21 bitcoins to commemorate the 21st day of the final month in the 21st year of the 21st century.
President Bukele took to Twitter to confirm the acquisition, which was initiated at 21:21:21.

As if that wasn’t resounding enough, Bukele added more mystery to the puzzle by highlighting El Salvador’s landmass, which measures 21,000 square kilometers.

Courtesy of the latest transaction, El Salvador’s digital wallet now holds 1,141 bitcoins. But the country remains committed to increasing its position. As per reports, there are plans to purchase another round of bitcoin tokens worth $500 million. The Central American nation remains the only country in the world to accept bitcoin as legal tender.
There are quite a few of critics against Salvador’s crypto adoption; even they would marvel at the iconic nature of this purchase.
