Nayib Bukele-led El Salvador has seized the opportunity presented by the market downturn to buy more bitcoin tokens at a discounted price.
The Central American country bagged additional 150 bitcoins at $48,670 each.

The bears pegged bitcoin price earlier today – dropping its price to almost $42,000.
A few minutes after confirming the country’s latest crypto acquisition, Bukele was back on Twitter to lament missing out on buying the bottom.
“Missed the f***ing bottom by 7 minutes.” President Nayib Bukele said in his follow-up Tweet.
For the records, El Salvador now has 1270 bitcoins on its wallet, worth around $60.3 million at press time.
