Elon Musk has thrown his weight behind Doge for the umpteenth time, stating that the token can defeat Bitcoin “hands down.”
The Tesla CEO is a public advocate for the memecoin – the self-acclaimed ‘Dogefather’ has shown quite an impressive amount of support for Doge.
And there’s no doubt he is keen to see the token attain greater heights.
Doge reached a new ATH last month, riding on Elon Musk’s support and publicity.
A Twitter user (@itsAllrisky) sent out a tweet narrating why he thinks Musk chose Doge over Bitcoin.
The Space X CEO found time out of his busy schedule to respond – suggesting that the joke coin can upsurge BTC if it speeds up block time, increases block size, and drops gas fees by 100%.
Dogecoin’s block time is already faster than Bitcoin’s block time but Musk wants to fasten the process even further.
Elon Musk set Dogecoin’s Contingency plan
Musk said in another tweet that creating his coin might consider creating his own coin if Doge doesn’t live up to expectation.
But he admitted that it would be a “pain in the neck” to set out on that path and he is working closely with Dogecoin’s developers to optimize the token.
