Coinbase has established an outlet in Hyderabad India, the American exchange company plans to hire staff based on their remote-first policy from different parts of the country.

“We will have teams in all major areas Coinbase works in today — infrastructure, cloud, platform, payments, crypto, blockchains, data engineering, machine learning, growth, product engineering — to name just a few.”
The exchange firm hopes to open more offices in major Indian cities “to have a hybrid, flexible environment”.
The Vice President of Coinbase Engineering and Site Lead in India, Pankaj Gupta, confirmed that local engineering directors will lead the different teams.

“These teams in India will be led by local engineering directors, who will have large, independent and autonomous charters,” Gupta said.
“We have ambitious plans for this hub in the near future — we want to hire hundreds of world class engineers in the near term,” he added
Coinbase’s decision to expand its tent to India is quite reasonable considering the increased number of crypto fanatics brewing in the country.
