Coinbase officially launch in Japan

Coinbase in collaboration with Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) has officially launched in Japan, opening an avenue for consumers to easily purchase and trade cryptocurrency.

MUFG is the biggest banks in Japan, providing financial services to 40 million local customers.

According to an official Medium post. The expansion into Japan aligns with Coinbase’s global strategy as it aims to become the most reliable customer-friendly crypto exchange in the Asian country.


Millions of locals will now have access to Coinbase’s platform for trading purposes with the help of the “MUFG Quick Deposit” scheme.

Coinbase entering the Japanese market is also expected to increase cryptocurrency awareness and adoption.

The mainstream crypto firm plans to include more assets and products and also release a localized version of some of the other global services as time goes on.

Founded in 2012, Coinbase is a heavyweight crypto exchange with over 68 million in more than 100 countries.
