Cardano is going through major adjustments on December 1, 2021. The blockchain company, IOHK (Input Output), has announced a series of upcoming adjustments on the network for future growth.

Cardano is going through major adjustments:

Input-Output (aka “IOHK”, aka “IOG”), the company behind the research and development of Cardano has announced that the network is set for a series of adjustments in order to support future growth. The director of the IOHK’s Cardano Architecture has authored a blog post with the title name” Slow and Steady Wins the Race”. This post was aimed to reveal the firm’s plan to evolve the network for future growth.

Recently, it was revealed that the Cardano has increased the block size by 12.5% to process more transactions. This new post by the IOHK’s director revealed that Cardano is going through major adjustments on December 1. It is estimated that Network’s traffic will increase with the launch of DApps (Decentralized Application). IOHK’s director has stressed out that the network is only using 25% of its total capacity. He further elaborated by saying:

Ouroboros is designed to handle a large volume of data as well as transactions and scripts of different complexity and size. At present, and with current parameters, the Cardano network is utilizing on average only around 25% of its capacity.

Cardano is going through some major adjustments; one is that the block size will increase from 8KB to 72KB. The second major update is that Plutus script memory units per transaction will be increased to 11.25 million. These two changes are expected to be applied to the mainnet on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at 21:45:00 UTC.
