Blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis expands into Australia

Prominent blockchain analytics and data provider Chainalysis has established an office in the capital city of Australia, Canberra.

The news comes a few hours before Commonwealth Bank announced a partnership deal with Gemini and Chainalysis to offer crypto services to their customers.

Founded in 2014, the IT firm provides research, data, market intelligence, and cybersecurity services to public and private organizations in more than 60 countries.

“The Pacific region is quickly becoming a center for cryptocurrency innovation,” Chainalysis Australia and New Zealand manager Todd Lenfield explained. “Our increased investment in the region will ensure businesses and governments can explore digital asset ecosystems in a safe, compliant manner.”

“Chainalysis’s data platform will strengthen the trust necessary to further legitimize cryptocurrency as an everyday asset for retail and institutional investors alike,” Chainalysis managing director for the Asia-Pacific region Ulisse Dell’Orto said about the expansion.

Before now, Chainalysis has been making moves to break into the Australian crypto market. Last year, the fully remote firm struck a deal with two Australian crypto entities CoinSpot and CoinJar.
