Binance CEO rules out the idea of purchasing Chelsea

According to the spokesperson of the Binance, the Chief executive officer of Binance has turned down the idea of purchasing the English professional football club Chelsea saying” owning a football club is not one of their priorities.”

Chelsea is currently owned by Russian Billionaire Roman Abramovich. After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Russian businessmen are not having a good time in the UK. Abramovich wants to sell it because of the constant threats from the UK government that all of his assets in the UK could be frozen and he could lose the club permanently.

Binance not purchasing Chelsea:

According to the reports, Binance CEO discussed the idea of buying soccer club, Chelsea, with Raine group, the bank representing club sale but declined the idea stating that this is not their area of interest and owning a soccer club is not one of their priorities.

The Chelsea sale has attracted several interests all over the world including U.S. billionaire Todd Boehly, martial arts star Conor Mcgregor, Turkish businessman Muhsin Bayrak, and Fanatics chairman Michael Rubin.

Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange has old relations with soccer as it has been sponsoring the Africa Cup of Nations tournament, Argentinian national team, and Italian professional sports club S.S. Lazio.
