NYSE listed digital asset manager Bakkt will integrate support for Ethereum (ETH) on its platform, allowing customers the luxury of trading the second-largest digital currency in the world.
Institutional investors can also join in by using the Bakkt warehouse to store Ethereum.
“At Bakkt, providing flexible opportunities for users to enjoy their digital assets is a top consideration, and adding Ethereum brings a popular and growing cryptocurrency to our roster,” Bakkt CEO Gavin Michael said in an official statement released on Friday.
The addition of Ethereum increases Bakkt’s crypto offering to become two, as the US-based firm formerly only offered Bitcoin trading.
“Bakkt users have already enjoyed the app’s capabilities to leverage bitcoin, and we are confident that our addition of Ethereum will be a complement to our growing ecosystem of partners and assets,” Michael added.
